Maths, Science and Languages

Nuria was born in Tangier (Morocco) in a multicultural background, the first part of her education was in French and the later part in Spanish. From early years Nuria showed great interest in sciences and languages. She studied her degree in Biology at the University of Granada, specialising in Animal Biology (Zoology). Nuria was especially interested in reptiles and so she started her Phd in Herpethology. Meanwhile Nuria continued studying languages as they are an important part of her life. Later she obtained her Teaching Certificate at the University of Madrid (Complutense).

Nuria has over 24 years of experience teaching the British curriculum in international schools in Spain. She really enjoys her job, sharing her passion for languages and sciences with her students, helping pupils to find their own way to adulthood and building a strong relationship with them.

Meanwhile, Nuria continued doing courses on innovative and inclusive teaching techniques. She believes that success is mainly promoted through self-motivation, creativity and resiliency; thus preparing students for the future.

Nuria recently spent two years getting her Social Integration Certificate which included a whole year doing her training at a Spanish secondary school, IES Mercedes Labrador, in Fuengirola (Málaga). It was a very enriching experience working side by side with students, guiding and supporting them daily.

Nuria is proud to be part of MTA, as she feels that it will allow her to feel the joy of teaching, sharing important moments and skills with her pupils as well as helping them in their own way to life.
